Hendrick Gil. Artist's Statement.
"Using the principle stylistic incongruity of style, constantly change my room painting as nomads their stores."
"These changes are the result of my constant search for that elusive ideal that consistently see in my mind's eye. Self-satisfaction may signal the death of the artist's creative vision. It is the restlessness, anxiety, dissatisfaction and agony of my mind what nourishes my creativity. I respect the link between the figurative and abstract as a valid strategy for expropriation of reality. My primary objective is the process of painting itself. The result should be a work that satisfies me and that both have a human dimension, and formal or technical. "
"As an artist, I am always traveling and never arriving. The important thing is the journey, anticipation, surprise, adventure and creativity experienced in path. "
